The Manchett General Policy Statement.

(Under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and the Environmental Protection Act 1990)

1. The company is fully aware of its obligation under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and will, as far as is reasonably practical, ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of all employees and visitors to the premises or operations under our control by:

a) Providing and maintaining safe and healthy working conditions, taking account of any statutory requirements.

b) Providing training and instruction to enable employees to carry out their duties in a manner which is efficient and not injurious to the health and safety of the individual employee, their fellow employees or the general public.

c) Providing and maintaining premises, plant and equipment, such that they will not be a risk to the health and safety of those persons using them.

d) Ensuring that all working methods and procedures will not endanger the health and safety of anyone on or off the Company premises.

e) Maintaining a constant and continuing interest in all the safety matters, consulting and involving employees wherever possible.

f) Encouraging the spread of smoking bans in all public areas, meeting rooms and offices.

2. The company will make available safety training, participate in joint consultation, provide personal protective equipment where necessary, check, and inspect its safety organisation.
