Vacancy : Control Room Operative at Burwell depot.

Your duties will include:
• receiving and dispatching car, LGV and HGV breakdown and recovery jobs, to our team of relay recovery drivers and roadside technicians.
• keeping the customer on the roadside informed of progress and updated with ETA’s.
• keeping the motoring organisations we work for updated.
• problem solving in real time.
• keeping our industry written APEX system updated.

 

The model candidate would:
• be able to provide quality customer service to our clients that include all the large motoring organisations such as AA, RAC, Green Flag and Britannia. As well as organisations such as the Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & Suffolk Police force.
• be able to communicate positively and assertively in what can be a busy commercial environment
• have basic computer skills and be willing to improve them
• have the ability to work under pressure during busy periods
• have a ‘can do’ attitude to the job
• ideally have previous control room/call handling experience, full training will be given regardless
• ideally have a good sense of the geography around East Anglia
• ideally have a basic knowledge from within the motoring industry but not essential

 

Terms and Conditions
• Competitive salary (depending on knowledge , skills and experience)
• Shift Work – (days)
• Shift pattern – 4 days on 4 days off (9am – 9pm for 4 days, then 4 days off, then 6pm – 6am for 4 days. This shift pattern allows the controller to fully integrate into the team and experience day and night work)

Vacancy : 7.5 tonne (C1) & Class 2 (C) drivers required to join our teams based in Burwell, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge.

Are you bored with the same multi drop daily routine? Would you like a new daily variety meeting and rescuing people, whilst getting job satisfaction?

The successful applicant will work alongside our control team to carry out the recovery of vehicles for all the major breakdown companies (AA, GreenFlag, RAC etc) and Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk police.  The current Manchetts team pride themselves on providing excellent customer service, remaining calm in situations and reassuring people in their moment of crisis.

  • Hold a full appropriate licence

Vacancy : LCV and Car Technician

Are you a LCV and Car Technician? If so, we would like to hear from you

We are looking to recruit our next team player who will thrive on working for a family run business which prides itself on meeting customers’ expectations and repairs first time while delivering excellent customer service.

We are looking for someone who:
• holds a minimum of a level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in light vehicles
• has an understanding of diagnostic processes and equipment
• is component in servicing and repairing vehicles in accordance with manufacturer`s guidelines up to 3.5 tonne vehicles
• holds a current MOT tester licence (Class 4/7) – this would be an advantage but is not essential
• can complete all associated paperwork accurately
• has the desire to progress through manufacture training (Renault and Isuzu)
• demonstrates the ability to work within a team and on their own initiative
• can maintain communication with all departments regarding repair timescales
• will follow Company health and safety guidelines at all times
• takes pride in their work at all times and keeps the workshop area clean and tidy

Vacancy : HCV Technician

Manchetts Car, Van and Truck repair centre in Newmarket is looking for a full time, experienced HGV Technician to join our team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine inspections and repairs to DVSA standards
    • Fault diagnosis using computer technology and your own mechanical knowledge
    • Servicing and repairing vehicles in accordance with manufacturer`s guidelines and times
    • Taking part in Service Van rota
    • Completing all associated paperwork accurately.
    • Working responsibly with Health and Safety in mind

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have the ability to work independently within a friendly team
    • Have had experience working within a Franchise Dealership
    • Boast good diagnostic skills and enjoy problem-solving
    • Have a flexible approach to tasks and a strong work ethic
    • Be keen to undertake further training in line with franchise expectations

Terms and Conditions:

• Salary negotiable, according to experience
• Monday – Friday: Alternate week shifts: 07:00 to 15:00/14:00 to 20:00
• Additional hours available
• On-the-job training provided
• 21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
