PARTS ADVISOR
Parts advisor required: We have a vacancy for an experienced Parts Advisor to join our busy team in Newmarket. We are a busy multi-franchise (MAN, Renault Trucks, Renault UK) car, van and truck workshop, open 6am – 10pm. The Parts Department serves a team of 12 technicians, and a retail counter service.
Your duties will include:
-Working closely with the team of technicians and Parts Manager to ensure that parts are available and on time
-Parts ordering, receiving parts and system entry
-Processing returns and credit notes and the warranty paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion
– Efficient management of supporting paperwork – Invoices, credit notes etc
-Operating a range of databases and manufacturer platforms (MAN, Renault Trucks, Renault UK)
-Fulfilling parts supply to retail customers
Competencies
The model candidate would:
– be highly computer literate and have experience using databases
– work well as part of a team but have the ability to work on your own initiative
– be able to provide quality customer service to our customers and clients
– be able to communicate positively and politely in a very busy working environment
– have excellent time management and organisational skills
– have the ability to multi task and prioritise workload
– have a calm and methodical response when under pressure during busy periods
– have a ‘can do’ attitude to the job and a pro-active attitude towards sales
– have a good technical knowledge of vehicles, including HGV

Achievement of manufacturer-led initiatives including KPIs
Growth of parts sales and gross profit margins.
42.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri) 9am-6pm [ Alternate Saturdays 8am-12pm]
23 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays)
